The Atlanta Renaissance press trip was so well organized!  It was a great opportunity to see the properties and meet influential people.

Making the Client's Voice Heard

Noble_Architect

In addition to great media coverage for our clients, PPR strives to provide each client an active voice in the media. By placing by-lined articles we provide quality coverage of both our client's projects and expert resources. DMJM Design, a prominent architecture firm in Washington, DC is one such example. Awarded the covetous opportunity to design the University of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, PPR Communications provided an open dialog between DMJM Design and The Noble Architect, resulting in great recognition of both the innovative design and expertise of the project's managing principal. Authentic Ingredients Sold Biras Creek’s Spa by the Sea

Noble_Architect

When Biras Creek Resort in Virgin Gorda revealed its signature “Island Cooler” treatment offered at Spa by the Sea, we created a special promotional mailer to top consumer health and beauty editors to highlightthe spa and its unique and authentic local treatment. Editors received a description of the pampering three-phase treatment along with one of its key ingredients – a little bag of salt from the BVI’s Salt Island! The eye-catching piece produced great coverage in consumer magazines such as SpaFinder, Shape, Elite Traveler, Bridal Guide, and Modern Bride as well as in all principal travel trade publications.

Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum……

PPR worked with client Cobblers Cove in Barbados to create a spirited package that would highlight the island’s history through the world’s oldest distilled spirit – rum. Select consumer magazine, newspaper and freelancewriters received samples of rum bottles from Mount Gay Rum Distillery in Barbados, along with the new “Rum Immersion” package we created for the guests at Cobblers Cove. The package included tours of local rum shops, distilleries and plantation houses, and guests chose from menus featuring rum accents. Turndown amenities were also rum-themed. In conjunction with the package, PPR solicited top culinary and travel writers for a rum-based press trip that resulted in superb placements and increased business for the hotel. Coverage included Islands, Caribbean Travel & Life, Epicurean Traveler, Water’s Edge Magazine, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, Miami Herald, Hartford Courant, and Ruidoso News, along with several top travel trade publications. Cheers!

Eden Roc Scores With Celebrity Fashion Show

PPR assisted the Eden Roc Renaissance Resort & Spa in Miami Beach in proving they can “walk the walk and talk the talk” when it comes to attracting celebrities to the hotel. In July 2005, we helped to promote the Eighth Annual Professional Football Players Mother’s Association (PFPMA) Dinner and Fashion Show that was attended by Will Smith and an all-star roster of NFL players including Donavan McNabb (Philadelphia Eagles), and Jerome Bettis (Pittsburgh Steelers), among several others. The celebs brought their moms as dates in a benefit for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Florida. Over 300 local and national attendees turned out to support the cause, and both the mothers of Will Smith and Shaquille O’Neil were given ‘Outstanding Mom’ awards. PPR secured Kodak moments with local print and broadcast media, namely the Miami Herald, South Florida Sun-Sentinel and NBC’s local affiliate WTVJ. Here are a few our favorite pics that show they are truly “Mama’s Boys” at heart.

Seagram’s

In addition to traditional media relations, PPR Communications brings our clients the opportunity to form long-lasting relationships with regional and national retailers through special event partnerships and barters. In August of 2004, Pango Pango swimwear chose the Chesapeake Resort in Islamorada as the backdrop for their 2005 Collection photo shoot. In addition to arranging for a full-page resort acknowledgment in Pango Pango’s pages, PPR bartered space and site usage in exchange for a photo shoot of the resort. In August of 2005, PPR Communications teamed up with Seagram’s to put the bikinis back on the beach - this time at the Blue Moon Hotel, Essex House Hotel & Suites, and WinterHaven Hotel in Miami’s famed South Beach. Seagram’s brand liquors chose these three Art Deco gems as the setting for the 2006 Seagram’s Swimsuit Calendar. The calendars are distributed each year through liquor retailers throughout the United States and boast the hotel logos on every page.

PPR Communications Recognized For Award-Winning Community Relations Campaign

Noble_Architect

PPR Communications was recognized for outstanding strategic public relations planning and implementation, winning a prestigious Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and a PR Week award for its Support Gables Police campaign in conjunction with the Coral Gables Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7. With an understaffed police department and residents complaining about a lack of police services, the City of Coral Gables was facing a public safety crisis. The city and police union had been unable to negotiate a contract for increased wages and benefits, with 4 of the last 5 contract negotiations going to impasse. An aggressive grassroots campaign swayed public opinion, resulting in the first successful union contract since 2000 and projected hiring of 16 new officers.

Smart Pilates in the Wall Street Journal

Noble_Architect

Throughout the 1990’s, as Pilates gained recognition from famous faces such as Daisy Fuentes and Kim Catrall, the number of Pilates teachers began to expand exponentially. To keep up with demand many online Pilates teacher certifications starting popping up and for $45 (and little else) someone could call themselves a qualified instructor. To keep the unsuspecting consumer from injury, the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) formed to create a standard of education and certification for Pilates teachers. PPR Communications was hired to launch a national campaign to familiarize the fitness industry with the PMA and educate the consumer about the risk of unqualified instructors. As a result of extended coverage in papers and magazines all over the U.S., in March of 2005, the Wall Street Journal published an article on the risks associated with a unqualified instructor and cited our client’s new Pilates Certification Exam as the industry standard for qualified teachers.
